At Fage, you come to a true Winegrower's home. Nods to the vine and nature are everywhere, subtly hidden throughout this wonderful set of buildings. Staying with us means immersing yourself in the terroir.

A little-known vineyard With the Graves de Vayres appellation

FAGE is a 40-hectare vineyard, 4 of which for the organic cuvée. The wines use their charm and complexity to drawn you in.

The grape varieties used for the reds are Merlot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc or Malbec.

Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle are used in the white wines. The wine-growing region is located on the left bank of the Dordogne and forms an enclave of gravelly land in the village of Vayres and the upper part of Arveyres.

THEY LOVE AND ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT THEIR TERROIR

Yves grew up surrounded by the vines of château Goudichaud, the family property 3 km away, where his father taught him about the vines.
Yves innovates like his father and grandmother, who was the first woman winegrower at château Goudichaud, and will lead you into his winegrowing world and the wines he has been crafted for decades.

Carole is from a family of 3 generations of oenologists. But it is a real sensitivity, a constant desire to please, accommodate well and convey her kindness that motivates her the most.

It is therefore natural that Carole and Yves wanted that a project reflecting these attributes stem from their meeting..

The Philosophy

“We also love to cultivate mystery. We show you little-know wines, a real quintessence, resulting from the marriage of the best crus from the right bank and the most prestigious châteaux on the left bank.

The Graves de Vayres spirit therefore happily combines the roundness and silkiness of the tannins, minerality and finesse of the Graves wine.

As winegrowers in this exceptional terroir, we proudly claim responsibility for this ‘atypicity’, this difference that makes our wines rare, sought-after creations”. »
